The Pizz


 Ozymandias

I met a traveller from an antique land

  1. When I worked at Warner Bros. Records, we commissioned Stephen "The Pizz" Pizzurro to create art for a promo flyer, a map of Los Angeles rock and roll hangouts (for which I wrote the copy). I remember how he called me when he read the first version of the copy: "Put some *balls* in it, man!" Fair play. I kicked it up a notch, probably splitting the difference between where he believed it should have been and where I could get away with it, given my corporate overlords at the time. The resulting 25.5"x11" piece remains in my portfolio. Ours was a brief association, but one I treasure. Rest In Pizz.
